The fruit with the highest sugar count! Is this sugar bad for you?
“Instead of a cookie or chocolate, I will take some fruit,” a phrase which he uttered each of us in attempting to satiate the need for good, to fool the body and to eat something healthy
But sometimes it is better to bite that raw chocolate (especially if a high percentage of cocoa) or small cookie instead of fruits that are rich in sugars.
Fruit sugar pyramid:
At the bottom of the fruit pyramid with the lowest percentage of sugar is avocado (yes, the avocado is a fruit).
It contains only 1g. of sugars in a product cup. This is probably the healthiest choice you can make, because as we know avocados contain healthy saturated fat and fiber.
The second part is tiny berries – blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, Aronia, strawberries.
The amount of sugar in this type of fruit is in a cup of 5-13 g.
The third part of the pyramid is fruits that usually enter: apples, pears, citrus, oranges and bananas. The amount of sugar in these fruits ranged from 4-19 g. in a cup.
On top of the pyramid is a fruity mango. It contains the highest percentage of sugar in its composition – even 26 gr. in a cup.
Fruit sugar or fructose is certainly healthy and desirable for consumption and normal functioning of the body.
Fruits should be part of the daily diet, but of course like everything else, and for this applies the same rule – in moderation.
